About Me
I am a senior at St. Olaf College, double majoring in English and political science. I currently serve as an Executive Editor of The Olaf Messenger, St. Olaf College’s student newspaper.
At The Olaf Messenger, I lead the publication’s transition to a digital-first newsroom, overseeing social media strategy and the launch of a newsletter. I previously served as News Editor, where I managed reporters and produced in-depth local coverage of the 2024 Rice County elections and issues affecting international student visas. I also helped launch a newsroom internship partnership with KYMN Radio, expanding student reporting into the broader Northfield community.
In addition to interning for KYMN Radio, where I spent a semester developing a city council beat, I have written for nonprofit outlets including The Roseville Reporter and The Park Bugle. In January 2026, I interned with Press Publications, which publishes 11 hyper-local newspapers covering the Northeast suburbs of the Twin Cities. There, I reported on hard news, features and business, including coverage of the impacts of ICE activity on local communities.
Most recently, I was a Communications Intern at The New York Times. While I was there, I compiled data-driven media coverage reports, developed multimedia content, including podcasts and short-form videos, and assisted with media inquiries.
